Athletes foot on hands is basically an infection of fungal basis that affects the skin of a person. It causes flaking, scaling and itching of the affected areas. Typically, as its original name suggests (athlete's foot), this infection affects the feet or the pedals.
Athlets foot or tinea pedis, as opposed to some people think may also spread from the feet to the other parts of the body. This seems to be impossible but it is true given the fact that this kind of infection is fungal in nature.
Athlete’s Foot on Hands
One of the most common sites of infection aside from the pedals is the athlets foot on hands. Why the hands? If you think about it, athlete’s foot can really be very itchy. And when it’s itchy, naturally your hands grab the itchy part and you start scratching away.
From the feet to the hands, this can still spread to the other parts of the body. After scratching the affected part using your hands, you then use your hands to touch other parts of your body such as your face.
You may also transmit the athletes foot infection to another person through this method.
